About this site

WhatSizeCrate is a free utility for people who are about to buy a crate, a bed, or a car barrier and do not want to guess the size.

The numbers come from typical adult breed ranges published by breed clubs, plus the fitting rule crate makers print on the box: nose to the base of the tail, plus a few inches. Mixed-breed mode uses weight bands when a breed is unknown.

I am not a veterinarian. Nothing here is medical, nutrition, or behavior advice. If a measurement and the calculator disagree, trust the tape measure.
